Project: Meet the locals
Disciplines:
Design and build
Year: 2016
Whilst contracting to Te Mahi we were asked to act as design and build consultants on certain elements of the new exhibition 'Meet the Locals' at Wellington Zoo. Te Mahi was given the reigns on certain elements of the exhibition including entrance and exit way sculptural design, x2 large-scale playgrounds, and a handful of interactive exhibition environments.
Meet the Locals - He Tuku Aroha is a stunning walk-through precinct at Wellington Zoo where visitors get up close and personal with some of the native animals that make New Zealand special as well as taking a very kiwi journey from the coast to the mountains. It's a special part of the zoo and something its' designers are very proud of.
