Ironclad had built a loyal following around their cast iron pans, but customers were asking for something missing from the range: a lid. The goal was to design a lid collection that would integrate seamlessly into their lineup and reflect the same craftsmanship, heritage, and longevity that define the brand.

Design Development
Working alongside Ironclad’s creative lead, I developed the design from early sketches through to production-ready CAD. The process involved iterative 3D printing and refinement to ensure a perfect fit and a form that felt natural in the hand.

Design Language

The lid was developed as part of Ironclad’s Colours of Home enamel range, introducing new finishes and tones that bring warmth and individuality to the cookware. It incorporates Ironclad’s signature Peak motif, a subtle geometric detail carried through their product line, creating a visual connection between old and new.

Outcome

The enamel cast iron lid completes Ironclad’s core range, bringing both functional and visual harmony to the collection. It extends the brand’s story through careful detailing and durable design, staying true to Ironclad’s values of longevity, beauty, and everyday utility.
